Data Center Inventory Management: Inventory Accuracy | Service Express

At Service Express, we have a large amount
of parts. And because of that quantity of parts, we
have to constantly make sure that that inventory is kept accurate. We do that via daily cycle counts here in
the distribution center, and weekly cycle counts in all of our service offices. We need to make sure that when a call comes
in Sunday at 3 am, that that part is available on the shelf and ready to go out to the customer
site. We also keep very tight controls on our inventory
via our sparing system and our purchasing team, to make sure that all the right parts
are on the right shelf at the right time, and if any of those parts are used, that they’re
replenished very quickly with a very high quality.
